Dr. Fraser C. Horn, OD, FAAO

 

Dr. Fraser C. Horn is the Dean and Professor at the Pacific University College of Optometry. He teaches Doctor of Optometry, Vision Science (BSVS, MS, BAVS, PhD), and MEd in Visual Function in Learning (MEd/VFL) courses, with a focus on Sports and Recreational Vision, Ocular Disease, Applied Ocular Therapeutics, and Ocular Emergencies. He was elected as Chair of the American Optometric Association (AOA) Sports Vision Section Council in 2014. His research interests include sports vision, contact lenses, ocular disease, and primary care.

Dr. Horn is a local of Forest Grove, Oregon, where his brother and sister-in-law are also optometrists. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and soccer, supporting the Timbers, and traveling. He finds great enjoyment in his work at the College of Optometry, citing the combination of excellent patients, staff, faculty, and students as the main motivators for his role as an educator and optometrist.

Dr. Horn received his Residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease from the Perry Point VAMC in 2005, his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in 2004, and his Bachelor's degree from Pacific University in 2000.
